Eligibility Criteria

📘 B.Sc. Hospitality Faculty Norms (SPPU – 10/06/2021)

1. Assistant Professor

Eligibility:

• Master’s Degree (≥ 55%) in Hospitality / Hotel / Tourism

• Bachelor’s Degree (≥ 55%) in same field

• Must have:

  • NET / SET OR

  • Ph.D. (as per UGC norms)

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years industry experience

• In 4-star hotel or above / tourism industry

Note:

• NET/SET not required if not conducted for that discipline

2. Associate Professor

Eligibility:

• Ph.D. in Hospitality / Hotel / Tourism / Management

• Master’s Degree (≥ 55%)

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years teaching/research experience

Research:

• At least 7 publications (peer-reviewed / UGC listed)

• Research score: 75

3. Professor

Eligibility:

• Ph.D. in relevant field

Research:

• Minimum 10 publications

• Research score: 120

4. Principal

Path A (Academic):

• Ph.D. in relevant field

• 10 years teaching experience (Assistant/Associate Professor level)

• Experience guiding Ph.D. scholars

OR

Path B (Industry):

• Outstanding professional with Ph.D.

• 10 years managerial-level experience

• In 4-star hotel or above / tourism industry

Additional Requirements:

• Total 15 years teaching/research experience

• Minimum 10 publications

• Research score: 110

5. Librarian

Eligibility:

• Master’s in Library Science / Information Science (≥ 55%)

• Good academic record + computerization knowledge

Requirement:

• NET / SET OR Ph.D.
