3-YEAR DEGREE COURSE FOR ALL 12TH PASS STUDENTS

TUITION FEES

The tuition fee and other fees for B.HS. are changed according to norms prescribed by the SPPU. They are subject to change from time to time as required by the SPPU or the Government of Maharashtra.

Fees should be deposited in cash at the Bank of Maharashtra, Karve Road branch, Pune 411004, or online  on the same day when the admission is confirmed, or else the student will be considered to have withdrawn his application, and accordingly, admission will be cancelled.

Students belonging to backward classes can avail themselves of prescribed concessions in tuition fees.

Students in all other categories have to pay the fees at the time of admission.

Candidates from ‘outside Maharashtra" and from the NRI quota and overseas students have to pay higher fees.

Candidates from ‘outside Maharashtra’ have been described by the SPPU as follows, which means:

  1. A candidate whose domicile status is outside Maharashtra and who has passed his qualifying examination from a university outside Maharashtra will be eligible for admission as a candidate from outside Maharashtra.

  2. A candidate whose domicile status is outside Maharashtra state but who has passed his qualifying examination from a statutory university in the state of Maharashtra but who has passed his HSC or its equivalent examination from a recognized school outside the state of Maharashtra will be eligible for admission to an institution that lies within the jurisdiction of the university. He will be considered as a candidate from outside Maharashtra State.

  3. A candidate whose domicile status is outside Maharashtra state but who has passed his or her HSC or equivalent examination from outside Maharashtra state should indicate the domicile status as ‘other than Maharashtra’.

NRI AND OVERSEAS STUDENTS

Students seeking admission in the NRI category through the SPPU will not be subsequently accommodated in any other category. They will continue to pay fees applicable to the NRI category throughout the course.

Overseas students desirous of securing admission to this college should contact the foreign students' cells at the SPPU to obtain a proper letter of admission from them. They will be admitted to the college only if they produce a letter of admission issued by the SPPU.

QUOTAS AND RESERVATIONS

The college follows government policies and guidelines for reservation while allocating seats in this category. Students desirous of getting admission in any of the reserved categories must provide all supporting documents issued by the appropriate and prescribed component authority, without which the application will be considered for the open category.

Students who do not seek admission within reserved categories or who have applied in the open category will not later be considered for any reserved category.

ATTENDANCE

The students are required to have at least 75% attendance in each course. Students who fail to comply with this requirement shall not be allowed to appear for the university examinations.

Such students shall have to seek re-admission to the same class in the succeeding year.

FACULTY

Faculty, both teaching staff and administrative staff, are appointed as per university rules.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for admission (as per SPPU rules)

The candidates should have passed the higher secondary certificate H.S.C. (XIIth Std.) through Maharashtra State Board or its equivalent board in Arts/Science/Commerce stream or MCVC/Home Science or its equivalent in any stream or vocational with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

However, in the case of reserved and certain specified categories as per the university’s rules, this would be relaxed to 45%.

ADMISSION PROCESS

How to apply in person or through post

  1. Applications for admission to the B.Sc (H.S.) Certificate course should be made on the prescribed form by interested students.

  2. The prescribed form, along with the prospectus, can be collected personally from the college office.

  3. The admission form, duly filled out with all requisite documents, should be submitted to the college within the date prescribed for receipt of the admission forms. Incomplete and incorrect forms will not be accepted.

  4. Admission forms will be scrutinized by the college and appropriate authorities. Admission is granted solely at the discretion of the college authorities.

  5. The students should pay the prescribed fees at the cash counter of the college on the same day when their admission form is signed by the appropriate authorities; failing to do so will cancel the admission automatically.

  6. The fee receipt should be preserved by the students.

Prospectus and admission form

Application forms and prospectuses can be obtained from the administrative officer, Ambrosia Institute of Hotel Management (AIHM), Ambrosia Resort, Sr.No 38/2 Campus, Bawdhan, Khurd, Pune 411021. A request for the application form and prospectus must be accompanied by a DD drawn in the name of Ambrosia Institute of Hotel Management, Pune, plus postage if any is required, or you may collect the form and prospectus personally on payment of Rs. 500/- at the college office counter.
